We are always looking for new and innovative ways of raising much needed funds for the society.
As shows become increasingly more expensive to put on and audiences being more discerning than ever, not to mention the credit crunch, it is more challenging than ever to maintain the high standard we have always prided ourselves in delivering.
With this in mind, we are asking you if you know of any ways of raising funds, to let us know.
Below are some excellent ideas already being used to good effect.
Please keep your ideas coming!

Ten Pin Bowling

Not only a great way of raising funds but a superb social event which everyone thoroughly enjoys!
Hopefully another will be planned soon!

We are very pleased to annonce that Kirklees MC Arts In The Neighbourhood have given us a grant for £1,000.

We held a charity stall in Heckmondwike Market in October and raised £70+. We are planning another in Dewsbury market soon. Please keep bringing in your items for sale etc.

Rags To Riches

We collected bags of old clothes, took them to a charity shop, and they gave us money!!!
We must do THAT again!!

A fashion show has been organised for 19th April 2012 at the Comrades Club, Heckmondwike. More details will be posted as and when we get them.

Easyfundraising

Here's a great way to raise money! If you buy stuff online from shops like Amazon, M&S, John Lewis and Boden etc., you automatically earn money for our society at no cost to yourselves!
All you have to do is register and every purchase raises cash for us!

A fabulous Folk Evening was held on Saturday 7th Jan at The George, Cleckheaton.

Despite the room being sub-zero, we all had a brilliant time being entertained by Flossie and supporting duo. Their names escape me as I've accidently thrown my details away, but I'm sure Stuart will fill in the blanks later!
Full details will be posted soon.

As always, we cannot do these terrific things without your help so, please, keep the ideas and enthusiasm coming! We really do appreciate the sterling efforts everyone is making at the moment to keep our society going from strength to strength.
